Meet Beth

My experience in bookkeeping, accounting and business administration spans more than three decades.

Before Beth's Books and Taxes, I spent 14 years running my own successful service business. I know what it's like to be the person responsible for bringing in the revenue, paying the bills, managing expenses, keeping records and making the decisions that determine where a business goes next.

I worked for many years in property management, progressing through administrative and accounting responsibilities and ultimately serving in office and accounting management roles. More recently, I've worked in accounts payable and continued expanding my accounting knowledge through formal study.

I completed Mohawk College's Integrated Accounting Certificate, with training in bookkeeping, accounting, payroll, Excel and QuickBooks Online. That education strengthened the practical knowledge I'd already gained from years of managing financial records and operating a business.

Beth's Books and Taxes brings those experiences together: practical business knowledge, current accounting training and a genuine understanding of what it's like to sit on the client's side of the desk.

I understand both sides of the ledger — the numbers, and the person behind them.

When you trust someone with your books or taxes, you're trusting them with an important part of your business and your life. I don't take that responsibility lightly.

My approach is straightforward: be accurate, be organized, communicate clearly and treat every client's business with the same care I would give my own.

You won't be treated like just another file or another set of numbers. I'll take the time to understand your business, answer your questions and help you feel confident about what's happening behind the numbers.
